while you're at it, can you show us to how debone a chicken and fillet a fish? =P
I'm sorry to say this, but your kids have never had proper mangos—the tastiest of Mexican and Indian mangos are a full order of magnitude less tasty than mangos from the Philippines and Thailand. It sounds like hyperbole, I know, but it's really not. Having said that, Mexico produces a kind of mango called the Ataulfo that's sometimes marketed as Manila mangos, they look like Southeast Asian mangos and the taste is 80% there, so if you can find some where you live start picking them up.

Also, check out Mango Slicing 101!

Does Beau always have a peeler in his back pocket?

The music is a nice touch. The video kind of made me sad, like it was a tribute to Beau.
Why do I miss Beau so much after watching that?

this needs to be a weekly series.

My vote for the next episode is for coconuts. It always seems to end in tears and a big fat mess at our house.

Oh, and pomegranites would be nice too.

what!

who cuts a mango like that? you makin' a salsa out of that. let me show you how to cut a mango - tropical style.

video in progress...

Thank you for this! I bought my first mango (I think?) a week ago and I had the hardest time with it! It looked horrible the way I cut it up---but tasted great!

Oooh! Next next next: A cantaloupe!

i don't want to be all down but... actually that is a really bad way to cut a mango.
Sorry.

1 Absolutely no peeling.
The skin is a handle for later AND you can eat it.

2 Cut the two sides of the seed (like the video)

3 Cut diamond diagonals into the sections from the flesh face down to the skin, not through the skin.

4 2 hands, press the skin to push out the diamond cubes and Voila! a perfect array of cubes sitting on a cup of the skin which you hold while getting the juices all over your face and clothes as you eat it.

5 If you got this far and it's a nice day rub the de-fleshed skin over your face and let it dry. Its a perfect facial toner and moisteriser combined. Wash it off later.

I shoulda made a video.
