QotD: Brush with Celebrity
I haven't had a chance to meet too many famous people...but here are the two brushes with fame that I'll never forget..
The first is when I was about 7 years old, and a huge baseball fan, and I went with my Dad to a game at Wrigley where the Cubs were playing the Reds, and for a reason that escapes me we got to go out on the field during batting practice and meet a few of the players and coaches. The one that sticks in my memory is Sparky Anderson -- probably because there's a great photo of me somewhere in corduroys and a yellow and blue striped shirt chatting it up with the future hall of famer... He was the nicest guy.
The other is a lazy Saturday afternoon in New York in the late 80s wandering around the upper west side when we see this very tall, familiar looking man walking with two children, one on either side of him, both reaching their hands up to hold on to his back jeans' pockets. "Hey," my friend whispers to me. "That's John Lithgow..." I'd add a photo of him, but it wouldn't come close to matching the image in my head of him with his two munchkins.

I seem to recall you had a *lot* of random brushes with celebrities back in the early Quris days. Shame the sippey.com archives have disappeared...
